PLANNING

  • PROPERTY
  • Make recommendations for suitability of the building site as well as home placement for the desired type of construction
  • HOME DESIGN
  • Meet with the architect and talk through design goals
  • With design parameters in hand, the architect will develop a preliminary sketch
  • The plan is then refined until it is approved for preliminary construction drawings
  • BUDGET
  • With preliminary construction drawings completed, more precise design ideas, specifications and finishes are discussed
  • The plan is then sent out for bid
  • Estimates are collected from various trades people and suppliers to compile an accurate cost estimate for the entire project
  • Once completed, we review the budget step by step through the construction process

CONSTRUCTION

  • STARTING CONSTRUCTION
  • With an approved budget, financing secured and final construction drawings in hand, all necessary permits are pulled and any pre-construction details are finalized
  • A construction schedule is established and reviewed
  • We break ground!
  • DURING CONSTRUCTION
  • During construction the MCH team is on site regularly to oversee all construction activities and maintain not only the quality of work happening but also the timeliness of the schedule
  • We work with you to make sure that all selections needed throughout the process are well defined and we give you realistic time tables in which to make those selections
  • Any changes during construction are discussed and approved before any of those changes take place
  • Any necessary updates to the schedule resulting from changes are updated throughout the process

MOVE-IN AND WARRANTY PERIOD

  • Construction is complete and you’re moving in!
  • A walk-through and orientation of your new home is completed to make sure you are familiar with everything
  • A post construction “punch list” is created and we schedule a time to complete those items
  • After the “punch list” is complete, there may be other items that come up, these would fall under our warranty
  • Warranty items are typically accumulated and addressed at one time, more pressing warranty items are handled according to their urgency
